Ghosts in the Sand
The founder of the Monastery was the Monk Walfreid, a close adviser to Anna the Red. He believed in stringent discipline and mastery of ones self were the only ways that they could face down the demon threat. He was entrusted with many missions by Anna the Red from the training of her peasant levies to breaking into Demonic fortifications to rescue prisoners. He was the only monk to ever master both the paths of shadow and of body making him a formidable combatant and both paths are offered in training at the Monastery. When Walfried died well into his second century he was interred at the monastery with honour and these relics are the greatest treasures of the Monastery.
In order to not contest with Walfreid all Abbots of the monastery lose their name when they reach that lofty post. In stead they are all simply Enlightened Abbot.
